Delete Rows and Columns Entirely From Worksheet So It Shows No Cells

    Please see this attached image:

I have this worksheet that I did not create and notice it has entire rows and columns completely gone / deleted. For example, the only columns it has ranges from A to AI and then no more columns exist in the worksheet. For the rows, it has rows 1 through 77 but then it shows a gray background.

How did they do this? What is this called? How can I do this to Worksheets?

    Thanks

in the upper right corner of your spreadsheet where you see the -, box and x, right below that is another set of those, click on the second set, the box and then adjust to the size you want. Is that what you are looking for?

No that's not what I mean. I'm not referring to restoring the window or maximizing the window.

Here's what I mean. In Excel, hold the CTRL key down and press -> arrow to go to the very last column of the sheet. If you then use the scroll buttons at the bottom-right to scroll even further past the last column, you will see that no more cells exist and just a gray background exists.

In my attachment before this reply, I show a spreadsheet created (not by me) that shows they somehow deleted complete columns and rows entirely from the spreadsheet.

My question is, how do I do that? What is it?

    Thanks

Oh! I figured it out... they simply hid all rows and columns. I don't know why I was so perplexed by this. Nothing wrong with a little public humility I guess

Example attached in case somebody ever has the same question.

Hey, I had one like that the other day. I tried and tried to remove a space at the end of a number (had many hundreds) and no matter what I tried it wouldn't work - tried find [space] and replace with blank and it wouldn't find any. Finally someone recommended I copy the space at the end then paste that into the find area and that did it. Very embarrasing when you see how simple it can be. But you keep heading down wrong paths and the solution seems to elude you.
