I can't get the box in Excel bigger

As you can see in the picture, the box which I am writing in won't get bigger. I want it to cover the whole workscreen, but so far nothing has worked. Is there anyone who have had a simular problem?

Odd. I certainly cant see the minimise/maximise/close buttons on the sheet's title bar. take a look here and see if it helps.

Have you tried "grabbing" the edges with the mouse and dragging?

Thank you for answers. Sadly none of them worked. I found out however that the file is locked by the writer. Not the usual read-only-locked, but some excel in program way of locking.
In my case the file was created over ten years ago and the creator can't remember what he put as password. This renders the problem somewhat solved or unsolvable. I hope future simular problem havers find this thread and it helps them.
