Hi Guys
I have a folder on my Pc's D:/ drive called Invoices ( D:/Invoices)
Is there in excel (dummy terms please) a way I can have an invoice in .xlsx format check on my pc in D:/Invoices what is the highest invoice number and insert that highest invoice number +1
when I click on a shape in my spreadsheet to initialize this.
The invoices are all saved as separate file names starting with the invoice number then the word Invoice then the client name and then the event date for example:
444 Invoice Annelie Schonken - Pick 'n Pay (16 Dec 2013) Johannesburg
445 invoice Lizelle Schneider - Zeal Management (14 May 2013) Pretoria
So when I click on the shape it must allocate the next inv number ie. 446 into the block I3 in the spreadsheet
I’m not very fimiiar with VBA so please be gentle and describe in quite basic terms
