    please help me in entering a fixed date in my excel

    Hi friends,

    Please help me in entering a fixed date in my excel for eg. i want to enter 20-Apr-14. please tell me the code and the steps to write it.

    type 4/20/2014 into the cell then use format and select date 14-Mar-01 and it should be the format you want (20-Apr-14).

    EDIT: or are you looking for a way to lock that date into a cell? VBA? Those would be different answers.

    Yes I am trying to embed it into an existing macro. while running the macro it runs half way and asks me to enter a date which is fixed so I wanna write a code so that I need not enter it every time as it is a fixed date.
