input the date in a cell will show the month and year base in the database from ms access

plzz help me to my problem i have my ms access and ms excel which is connected each other

=> now in my ms access have a table name (tblMonth) has columns (year,MonthNum,StartDate,EndDate)
HERE: sample in january(1) and feb(2)

=> and for my ms excel has its columns (year,month,date) in this if i input the date that is base in the database range from StartDate TO its EndDate
will automatically put the month and year which base also in my database (year,MonthNum)
HERE:

A1 B1 C1
Year Month Date
A2=2014 B2=January C2=01/01/2014

(THIS PROJECT WILL USE VBA PROGRAMMING )

I'm not understanding what you are attempting to achieve. How are your files connected. Is the Excel file a linked table to your database? Are there any queries in Access that are to return results to Excel? What does the term base mean in your explanation. It is not clear.

This is not making any sense to me. Please upload copies of your spreadsheet (sanitized for any confidential data) and your database (sanitized also). Make sure to run a compact an repair on the database before uploading. You will also have to zip the database as this forum does not allow direct uploads of mdb or accdb files. You only need to have a enough records in both files to allow for showing your issue, not the entire file.

I think that you may be trying to run a parameter query from Excel against a table in Access, but your explanation is very confusing and lacking enough detail to determine this.
