Update table Automatically by inserting into another

So I have two tables and only want to insert the data once. The second table is more detailed with more columns so I want to see if I can reference the first table to populate the correct columns in the second. Is there a way to automatically create a row in the second table when a row is completed in the first?

    example

Job # Unit # Employee Equipment
1 TT 01 Mike Wilson Trailer
2 TT 02 Dan M Goose neck Truck
    3 TT 03 Dave C Truck
    4 TT 04 Chris P Truck

    to populate
Job # Description Unit # Employee Billable Hours Equipment

Then obviously you would need to go in manually on the second table to fill out the description and Billable hours
