    filtering massive number of data

    Hi all,

I have a massive amount of data that i would like to filter.
As per the image below (only partially), I would like to filter out values from -12 to 20 in chronological order for the "lat" column.
May i know what is the fastest way i can do so ?
    Please advise.

    Thanks you

Re: filtering massive number of data

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

Have you tried Data Filter and it doesn't appear to work as you expect, or have you not yet tried it?

If you've tried it tell us what you've entered and where.

    and more generic.

you could better add an excel file, instead of a jpg (in which we can work / test given solutions).

Re: filtering massive number of data

    Hi Richard and oeldere,

I've tried data filter and i am sure i will be able to filter out the values that i do not require.
However is there any faster way for me to obtain a range of values that i need , for example from -10 to 10 ?

I hereby attached the original excel for your trial.

    Thanks

Re: filtering massive number of data

    Hi,

There are a couple of ways. Use Data Autofilter and specify the filter as greater than or equal to -10 AND less than or equal to 10

Alternatively use a Pivot Table and in the PT filter the Lat field

and forget to tell, an small excel file, without confidentional information will do.

Please also add the desired (expected) result of your file, and refer to which cells they are related.

are there also related headers (fake names will do), than please aldo add them as well.
