    Case sensitive conditional formatting.

Hi folks, i'm wondering whether you can apply case sensitivity in conditional formatting, worth noting that i'm a bit of an excel rookie so don;t understand many of the functions.

For example, i'd like the exact word "mun" to come up in red, but the exact word "MUN" to come up in amber. Is there any way to get the case sensitivity to recognise the difference between the two?

I'm using the 2010 version of Excel.

    Cheers,
    KEP

You'd need to use the CF formula option with formulas like (assuming A1 is the cell being formatted):
    =EXACT(A1,"mun")
    =EXACT(A1,"MUN")

Cheers Rory, but what about if I want a range of cells to be formatted? Like from B2 to AM21 in my instance?

    Re: Case sensitive conditional formatting.

Replace A1 with B2 and apply the CF to the whole range. The formula will adjust for each cell.
