Teared up workmap

We have a workmap with a year planner containing 12 sheets for every month of the year. I have no idea what my colleagues done with it but when I say: print, 1 sided, color and I send it to the printer there are 8 files forming, the first 4 sheets are double sided, the 6th and 9th are in black and white...

It seems like the workmap has been torn up and the sheets have started a life of their own. Does anyone here have a solution how to straighten them out so they become one workmap again?

I'm very confused.

First, I don't know what a workmap is, or if that's relevant to the issue.

You say you have 12 sheets. Are you trying to print one of them or all of them at once? If all, how are you doing it?

What does "8 files forming" mean? Does that mean 8 pages printing, or something else?
