Conditional formatting based on other cell colours

    Hello

I'm trying to create conditional formatting based on other cells colours.

For example. ColA is a name. ColB-ColH are dates. Each of those dates have their own conditional formatting to identify whether that date has expired or will expire. Green in date, Amber within 1 month of expiry, Red for expired.

What I'd like is for the name (ColA) to be one of those particular colours.

    Is this possible?

I also have another spreadsheet which works in a similar easier way, except the name only looks at one date (with its own conditional format again). But I'd like the name to copy whatever colour cell that date has. To put simply I'd like ColA to always match the colour of ColB

Attached is an example of what I'm trying to achieve

Ok I'm starting to understand conditional format at bit better now, so I see how it's done.

Is what I'm trying to achieve on sheet 1 not possible?
What happens is there are a few people who access this spreadsheet, each one of them will highlight whether a date in their specialised area is expired and will mark it either amber or red. Then there's another person who just looks at the names to identify which of those have expired dates.

It would be ideal if those names are auto colourised dependant on the colours of the dates to the right.
