Lightbulb Drop Down Lists so that different sets of data are pulled in when a value is selected

    Hi all,

I'm trying to build a spreadsheet whereby different sheets in the same workbook relate to different fund ranges and then on the main spread sheet a user can select the required one and the data would refresh to show the info required from the relevant sheet. If anyone has any ideas on the best way to do this, it would be much appreciated.

    Many thanks,

    Fajr

Thank you, Richard. I'm still trying to figure out how to link a set of info to each item in the list. So say I choose Fund A from the drop down list- how do I make such that charts and figures related only to that Fund show on that sheet?

Attached is a template for a summary worksheet with a dropdown menu to import data from different worksheets in the file. Please respond if this is inadequate or confusing.

The written example referenced by Richard Buttrey takes one just into the second column and leaves one guessing as to how to proceed. The downloadable file takes it further though you will find a number of "holes" in the data that haven't been filled in. It does however give a good idea on how to proceed from there.
