Copy Data from Cell to Another Cell using a HyperLink

Hi all,

I have a Excel Sheet. What I am trying to achieve is the following.
I have the following table with a list of Hyperlinks. The Hyperlink contains the Value of a Cell Im referencing in the row.

What I would like to achieve when i click the hyperlink. I would like to copy the value that is found in G column onto Cell D$2$.

So If i click on the hyperlink on the next row, the value in Cell D2 should be replaced with the hyperlink value given.

I tried this code, but do not seem to get it to work. Anyone care to share some insights on how I can get this corrected.

Thanks for the guide.

I have tried the sample that was given. But if you see, that the Value that is being assigned is being hardcoded.
How to i extract the value that is found inside my hyperlink or cell reference in the hyperlink to be copied over.
