Counting numbers in cells which also contain letters, And viceversa

Hi, unfortunately we have been writing spreadsheets with numbers and letters in them for years.

Now I have 3 problems.

1) To count the minutes that players have played in games

2) to count the number of A's and R's for each player

3) Finally, we have entries such as 90-1 in a cell. This represents the number of goals scored in a game. Games Minutes Cards and Goals.xlsxIs it possible to count the total amount of these numbers in a separate cell?

Can anyone solee this problem or do we have alto of correcting to do?

hi thats great Sktner..... unfortunately I have another problem which may not be as easily fixed. some cells have something similar to 90-A-1. is it still possible to count these???? i will attach an example. I have highlights the problem cells in Red.
