highlight the highest and lowest number in a range of cells several times in the same c

Hopefully a simple answer exists to my query!

I need to understand the easiest way of highlighting the highest and lowest number in a range of cells several times in the same column.

As I said the cell range will be in the same column. So highlight the highest number green and lowest number red in cells a3 to a9 and then repeat the same process again in cells a11 to a17 and so on.the cell references are an example.

So I have several separate sets of numbers in the same column.

    Hope that makes sense..

    Thanks

Can you post a sample dataset and manually highlight what you want to be dynamic?

I can mock up an example, it may be slightly different to the finished product I need to use it on, so the cells etc wouldn't be the exact same reference, would that be ok, it would explain the general principle..

Mock something up that is representative of what you need, and if there are differences needed then be very clear on that. Specifics tend to matter in excel

I suggest taking your actual file, and desensitizing the data/names/numbers a bit but make it have the same look and feel of what you are using so the answer directly applies to what you need.
