Find Unique & calculate the Total of Work order

    Hello Guru's,
I have been playing around with some data and can't seem to get it the way I want it. I have played around with Pivot tables and grouping but I can't seem to figure out how to accomplish what I need in Excel. To better explain I have attached some test data of what I am trying to accomplish. Thanks in advance for your help!

That is perfect, Thank you. Would you mind explaining how you did that? It looks like some complicated Formulas.

    Hi, Punnam

Your post does not comply with Rule 7 of our Forum RULES. Please do not ignore requests by Administrators, Moderators and senior forum members regarding forum rules.

If you are unclear about the request or instruction then send a private message to them asking for clarification. Do not post a reply in a thread where a moderator has requested an action that has not yet been complied with e.g Title change or Code tags...etc

    @abaumgartner:

Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution.

Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.

To change a Title go to your first post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

    Ciao,
    Holger

Re: Find Unique & calculate the Total of Work order

If it is easier rather than explaining the formulas, Would someone be kind enough to help me make a template I could paste the data into and it would generate what I need? I know basic formulas but I am no expert. I have attached What the template would be.

Again Thanks for all the help!

Re: Find Unique & calculate the Total of Work order

    2 options:

    1) With an pivot table.

See the attached file (2nd sheet).

    Or

    2) With VBA to hide and unhide the columns.

    Just push the buttons.
