Calculate average time

Hi folks
I need to calculate the average time between two columns of entries
I have extracted the info and used the formulae =TEXT(G4-F4,"h:mm") to get another column giving the individual times, however when trying to sum or average these columns I get a div/0 error
I suspected this was to do with the TEXT part of the formulae so formated another column as time and then number but the problem persists.

Change the formula in H4 to this:

=G4-F4

Use Format Cells to set the format on that cell to Custom as [h]:mm, then copy the formula down. Your average comes out as 11:10.

feel a bit stupid now, can I make it ignore gaps in the data, as previously I have been manually deleting them
