Question One Workbook with multiple worksheets need saving separately

    Hi,

I have an excel workbook which has numerous rows in sheet one. I have done vlookups to split the data up into separate work sheets for each region. I now want to save each worksheet separately so I can send them off to the regions individually. How do I do this please?
    Thanks

Instead of vlookups, why not have a pivot table that filters on each region?

Re: One Workbook with multiple worksheets need saving separately

I need the info in separate worksheets as there are multiple lines and information against each region. The master spreadsheet has all the regions, I need to send all the regions their own data with feedback. A pivot table isn't going to work in this instance. I know how to save worksheets into a new workbook, however, as there will be a number of regions, is there a quick way, rather than doing all the regions indiviually?

I dont follow what you need. For everything you said a pivot table will work.

Post a sample dataset indicative of what you are using then a proposed layout and I can help, otherwise these words aren't going to get us very far.

    Hi,

Thanks for this. The master spreadsheet, has all the data attached. I need to split out the central region, southland region, and all associated rows into each spreadsheet, then send the individual spreadsheets off to various locations. This is only a snapshot example as there are going to be 80 different regions....

    Thanks heaps.

Again, I have NO idea what you are trying to report on, but you can use a pivot table with a simple filter on it to get to whatever it is you are trying to get to.

Also you just copy and paste the pivot then change the filter and you share the same pivotcache so your file size doesn't climb like crazy.

I just arbitrarily chose which data to add to the pivot table but you could grab them all, if that is your intention.
