    Need a formula to consolidate a 2 column list

    I have 2 columns, I need to consolidate one of the columns separated by a character.

    For example, I need to turn this.........

    Part# Part #2
    1AMAC33022 1132609
    1AMAC33022 2724908
    1AMAC33022 2724977
    1AMAC33034 19188468
    1AMAC33034 F6ZZ-19C836A
    1AMAC33051 07-0442A
    1AMAC33051 1911006
    1AMAC33051 19188473
    1AMAC33051 F0TZ-19C836-A
    1AMAC33051 FOTZ-19C836-C


    into this..........

    Part# Part #2
    1AMAC33022 1132609*2724908*2724977
    1AMAC33034 19188468*F6ZZ-19C836A
    1AMAC33051 07-0442A*1911006*19188473*F0TZ-19C836-A*FOTZ-19C836-C

    What are you trying to accomplish? Can you not try to aggregate or whatever with a pivot table instead?

    I thinking I could use a pivot table with multiple consolidation ranges? But not sure how to do it.

    You will need a VBA solution to achieve this. If you are open to a VBA solution, please find the attached sheet and click on the Green Button on the sheet to get the desired output in col. C and col. D. Is this something you can work with?

    I know that this is late but here is a way to solve your problem without using VBA.
