Mouse wheel scoll drop-down list and auto suggest

How can I get the drop-down menus generated by Data Validation (using dynamic range) to be scrollable with a mouse wheel, rather than having to click on the arrow on the scroll bar to go up or down?

Furthermore, how can I get an auto-fill thing happening where the cell contents narrows down based on the first few letters typed (scrolling through long lists can be tedious, especially if they're not arranged alphabetically).

I'm guessing this might be a VBA type problem, and I don't have any VBA experience, so if you feel inclined to help, please dumb it down a bit

Both of them cannot be done with Validation

Autofilling can be achieved using ActiveX combo box

You have to access/assign it via coding

Better you stick with the Validation
