Hi,
I have an Excel file. It is really slow, even if I cut/paste to move some static text. Is it because some functions are automatically refreshed when the file has some changes?

Is there conditional formatting? Select the entire sheet with the conditional formatting and look at rules. If you copy/paste a lot, it will make a new conditional formatting rule every time. Eventually, every copy paste makes hundreds of new rules, and everything gets really slow.

Not a lot of copy/paste. Even if I just copy/paste a single word, still very slow.
I mean that Copy/Paste can create the problem that causes things to run slowly. Did you look at the Conditional Format rules to check?
Conditional formatting does exist a lot in the file. But the static text that I cut/paste has no conditional formatting.
