Mround function wont calculate

Hi All
On the attached worksheet the mround formula in col b2 wont calculate,im getting "formula contains an error"
message.highlighting A1,500.Calculation is set to auto & i have tried changing cell formats (general,number ect) & rebooting.
Entering a simple sum formula however works in col F.Thanks for any help given.
NB. = sign omitted from B2 to enable attachment.

Every formula needs to start with =

I have left the = sign out because the worksheet wont save with it in.The formula when tried had the = sign in.See NB explanation above.

I cannot replicate the error. It seems to work just fine for me.

its working here Try something like

=MROUND(8765,500) or =MROUND(8765,(10*50))

Are your regional settings set to UK or something else? If, for example, they are set to French then a semi-colon would be required as an argument separator rather than a comma

Solved List separator had somehow changed from comma to pipe
