Angry box with text connected to a cell

Every time I click on a cell I get a box appearing with a load of text information in it. I put the box on the spreadsheet but I cannot remember how I did it. I cannot get access to it to edit the information contained in the box. It is not a "comment" box because there are no little red markers in the top corner of the cell.

I look forward to finding out how i can get access to the box

    Many thanks

Sounds like it might be Data Validation instruction.
