Sorting columns to find new and obsolete part references

I am working on monthly inventories to see movements among other things. The problem I have is that at each month end the inventories are taken and there may appear new part numbers as well as the deletion of obsolete part numbers. I have 13 months of data, how can a sort be set up so that I have one list of all the part number that have appeared during these 13 month. Please note that some part number consist of numbers only, and others can be alphanumeric.
