Need help with percentages!!!!!!

Hello Everyone,

I am new to the group and I need help. I am trying to find out percentage for this range. The first one was easy, 8% of student scored 100%. I am not sure what to do because I need to find the range between the other ones. So, for second one 16 students scored between the range of 99-90, what is the percentage?

I'm not sure that your 8% is correct. There are 45 students (8+16+13+6+2), so the percentages for those ranges are 8/45 (17.8%), 16/45 (35.6%), 13/45 (28.9%), 6/45 (13.3%) and 2/45 (4.4%)

Hi, I think you are making a mistake already for 100%.

If second column is the number of students, then total number of students should be 8 + 16 + 13 + 6 + 2 = 45.

Number of students scoring 100 is 8, and percentage should be 8 / 45 * 100 = 17.78%

Ok thanks for all your input. I realized I had put incorrect value as 8%. How do you write the formula in excel for the table I described. I attempted to use your formula "=B2/SUM($B$2:$B$6)*100." but this did not work. I am sure I am just doing something wrong. I have been working on this for quite some time, so i am tired
