    Hlookup/index/match

I have a league table in Excel that i want to change depending on how many games have been played.

So in the dropdown i want to select the date, then i want the table to update and give me the results based on the results up to and including that week.

I am struggling to come up with what I need, i think it's a combination of HLOOKUP/INDEX/MATCH.

I guess an easier option would be to have the results by week on various hidden Sheets so the numbers are hard-coded and do look-ups from there, but it'd like to be able to do it from one set of data ideally.

So for instance, in cell D2, i want the result to be 2, because Ken has played 2 games on 27/06/2013 (basically a count of non-blank cells in AJ down to that date.

At present i just have it including all dates, i just want the count to go down as far as the date in D2.

    Help!
