How to change an assigned macro button's colour - after the macro has run

    Hello,
I have inserted a macro button and have assigned the macro to it. It's currently a blue colour, however after the macro has run, I would like it to turn Green and say Macro completed - so the user knows the macro has run and not to click the button again.

    Attached is the example :-)

I would like to know how to manually do this, not write the code.

    Hi,

Your request is ambiguous. You start by saying that you want the macro to paint the button green but then go on to say you want to know how to do it manually.

I'm presuming you do want the macro to do it so...

Why not use the cells behind the macro as a color coding scheme to let them know it has or has NOT been run.

I cant really follow what you are asking for.

Sorry I meant how to this using the macro recording & formatting. I'm not a master at writing VBA codes

Ok thanks I'll try both your suggestions. Obviously I'm not good at explaining the right terminology!
