formating of a number imported from web

    Hi guys,

I am importing some numbers from web into my excel file automaticaly, so the calculations are always updated. I am having problem with importing number greater than thousand because on the web the number is formated with comma after thousands (e.g. 1,250.00) and my excel doesn't take that as a number and therefore cannot work with it afterwards.

Is there some automatic way how to delete this comma for imported numbers from web? So I do not have to replace "," with "" everytime I want to use the excel? Thanks.

    Regards,

    Scierx

Use a Helper column and SUBSTITUTE commas for ""

Ensure you describe your problem clearly, I have little time available to solve these problems and do not appreciate numerous changes to them.

Thanks! I completely forgot the SUBSTITUTE function.
