Dear expert,

I have experienced one case with the error message "cannot open pivot table source file c:\xxxx.xls!oi-summ" in one excel file which has many worksheets that have lots of Pivot table but non of it that reference to the error message show when open the workbook. the worksheet name oi-summ was exists in the past but has been removed from workbook and now no pivot table on the current workbook that are reference to the oi-summ worksheet anymore.

I am actually recycle the pivot table to link to another source file will that be a problem?

is there a way to trace which pivot table data source link that is reference to the related source file from excel error message?

any vbscript we could write to trace it.

Thanks.

regards,
Anney
