Creating a Home Budget

Hey guys

I'm creating from scratch a home budget for a friend and I thought I'd tell all of you in case you have insights, tips or examples that I may benefit from. I can easily create the budget so I am more interested in the collective wisdom of the board members.

ha ha, of course! I searched here too, first. The only reason that I posted here is because I value the input of this board's members more than a faceless google'ing of the net.

While I agree that a google search can provide invaluable results, I also believe that often, if you use someone elses ideas/system, you end up with a product that does what they want it to do, and not necessarily what you want it to do.

As far as looking for "wisdom" here, I suggest that if you already have something put together, share a cleaned version with us and lets see where you are so far? (if you dont have anything, maybe start putting something together?) Once we can see what you have/what you want etc, it makes it a lot easier to offer suggestions/improvements
