How to copy and paste a SUMIF formula with slight alterations to the formula?

Hi Excel Forum!
First time poster, I was wondering if you guys would mind lending me your excel expertise for an issue I'm having making a finance tracker. I have sorted out most of what I need, except for a summary page I am working on. Each month is in a separate spreadsheet, and they are broken down into fortnightly lots.

What I need exactly, is a way to copy/paste a column of formulas that look like "=SUMIF('September 1'!B39:B138, "=Shopping",'September 1'!D39:D138"
into a new column, but with the "B39:B138" to "I39:I138" and a similar alteration for the "D39 etc" portion of the formula... At some point I will also need to know how to alter the formulate but only changing the "September" part to another month.

Would appreciate any idea in saving some time here! I have never really been taught how to Excel but it is providing invaluable for this task! I just need some help please!?

Cheers,
Isaac

Hi, welcome to the forum

It might help if you provided a (clean) small sample workbook of what you are trying to do. For instance, if you are copying that 7 columns over, then just copy it, but if you are only copying that 1 column over, then maybe we need to look at a different option?

Also, unless you have a category called =shopping (including the =) then I have a feeling that is not going to work
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
