Auto Populate Multiple Cells Based On One Drop Down

    Dear Friends,

Can anyone guide me how to prepare the enclosed excel sheet with dropdown icons.

In the enclosed file only one drop down icon (+ sign) is created below formula bar to open multiple cells. I want to learn how this drop down (+ sign) is created below formula bar to open multiple cells. I have searched it in google also, but I didn't find anything.

Thanks you very much in advance.
    Regards
    M
