Not sure what happened...but every time I use this very helpful shortcut, it now goes to the bottom of excel...it will not stop at the last cell of data....did I somehow disable this?
thanks in advance for any help!

Just posting a reply in case anyone else has this issue like I just did. The reply above worked to an extent but being that I'm using Excel 2007; it was a tad different to get to it.
In Excel 2007; Hit the upper left round Menu button. Click Excel Options at the bottom. Choose Advanced on the left, and scroll all the way down to "Lotus Compatibility". Uncheck the Transition Navigational Keys box.
Worked like a charm! Thanks!

Thank you...mine was already unchecked....it works fine if I am selecting data in a column...it will go to the end of that data...no issue there.....but if I insert a column next to it, enter a value in the first cell, and then want to select all of the blanks cells below to paste the same value, it goes to the bottom of excel.....normally, it would look at the column next to it and stop at the same row where the last cell of data is in that column...make sense?
Makes sense and that has happened to me at times.
Usually when I've had my excel open for a week or longer (I'll work on it one day then again the next) and it seems with time mine gets flacky.
Usually I save things, log out then back in and it works fine after that.
But if I don't want to do that I will go down to the last cell in the column you refer to that has data, go to the next column and put an "x" or something there, then go back up to the top then do the double click to have what i want autopopulated into that column and it will stop when it reaches the "x".
Ok, that's a nice shortcut...thanks for the reply!
