Hi
I am after some help on an excel sheet for which I hope someone can show me how to do it. So here goes.
In column A I have around 1000 unique cells, I need to find the same values for each in column B and then fill the cell. Column B will have multiples of the same value so each value will need to be filled.
I was going to start doing this manually but then realised it would take me forever so am hoping somebody can show me the way.

I have attached a sample excel sheet.
So if any cells in column A have an exact match in column B then that cell in column B should be filled with the colour yellow.
Using my sample excel file, cell A1 shows value 'a123', I now need it to find all cells in column B that have the same value and highlight them yellow.
In cell B27 the value is 'stu', but because the value is not in column A it should not be highlighted.

Not sure why I am not getting a reply for this. Is it because I want to fill it with a colour and this is difficult to do?
How about if the value from column A is found in column B then the value in column B is deleted?
I would just simply use conditional formatting but as I have a lot of duplicates in column B it may highlight the wrong cells.
Done it by doing a long long search on Google. Someone was looking for a similar solution.
Used =COUNTIF(A:A,B1)>0 with a new rule in conditional formatting.
