Sumif months?

Hello,

My problem must be simple to you. I just want to sum a certain range of numbers of given months and years.
I've tried:

=SUMIFS(B:B;A:A;MONTH(E2);A:A;YEAR(E2))

=SUMIFS(B:B;A:A;"="&MONTH(E2);A:A;"="&YEAR(E2))

Both give me the 0 result.

Could anyone help me please?

Try

=SUMIFS(B:B,A:A,">=" & E2,A:A,"<" & E1)

in Cell F2 and copy down.

You need to enter Oct-14 in E1.

Or this

=SUMPRODUCT((MONTH($A$2:$A$13)=MONTH($E2))*($B$1:$C$1=F$1)*($B$2:$C$13))
