Excel is removing data when I try to paste

I'm trying to copy data from one Excel spreadsheet to another one. Every time I try this by copying 60+ cells from one column and then try pasting in the column on the new spreadsheet all of my data gets removed except for 3 cells.

I'm at a loss here and really getting frustrated. Can anyone help with this? Thanks!

Re: Excel is removing data when I try to paste

Just tried copying and pasting 500 cells in a column from one spread sheet to another and had no problems. Just off the top of my head I might ask if you are pasting just the values, just the formulas or one of the other options. Is there any special formatting that the 3 cells have and the others don't or visa versa. One thing that sometimes works for me is to restart the computer, perhaps it is a clipboard issue. Sorry not to be of more help.

No nothing special about those 3 cells. I've even tried this using my wife's laptop instead of my laptop using the same spreadsheets and it still wouldn't work.

For more of an overview, I have multiple spreadsheets from co-workers that I'm trying to combine into 1 master spreadsheet. The master spreadsheet has already been created by someone else within my company. I tried using a couple of different spreadsheets from different co-workers thinking that maybe the first one I was trying had some sort of problem, but they all are removing the data. I can copy line by line, but that's going to take forever.

Sorry, that has me stumped, I have tried copying columns from one sheet to another within the same workbook and also to another workbook, and I still can not duplicate the issue that you are having. Might be that if you can up-link data, providing that it is non-proprietary, or sample data someone here may be able to help. Best of Luck.
