Entering a clickable Explorer File link....

    Hi,

I want to make some cells that have names of files like this

    c:\My Files\Read me.txt

... and I would like, when someone clicks in a cell like that, that the file gets run, as if someone had double clicked on the ReadMe.txt file, so that notepad opens.

Using Excel 2013 (also older one like 2003, but mainly 2013),

Not sure exactly what you are after, but if you want to put a link in a spreadsheet, in Excel 2013 the keyboard shortcut is Ctrl + K. A dialogue box opens with HypLnk options on the left side. Click the option you want. The rest should be fairly intuitive. If it's not a little trial and error should get you want.

    Hope this helps.
