A drop down list with a blank value that users can fill in

Hi,

I'm looking at how to do a drop down list that has a 2 options, a value which i will get from another cell and a blank option that the user can fill in with another value.

Probably you should try ActiveX Combobox for the same.

My only problem is that the value in the dropdown list will be used in further calculations in other cells

You can refer the dropdown value of a combocox to a cell, so you can use that cell in your calculation.

Also do you know if the default value in my dropdown will update through out as it is dependent on other cell values
