    Vlookup

    Hello,

I have a hard time making my Vlookup to work....I only get #N/A

here's a picture of what I try to do

    Snap5.jpg

my data report is column Y.

I received a list with codes and descriptions to match with column Y (Columns Z and AA)

I want to add description to codes in column Y, so I want to read "Strat Policy Planning..." in column AB

    thank you!

    Re: Vlookup

my guess be that the number in Y1 isn't a number since it's left justified and has a carat in the upper left corner...convert that to a number and the VLOOKUP Should work...
