I'm working on a formula that needs to return a DIVIDED value in column G and H. if the words (AR) or (TR) are NOT in column C, and the whole amount of column D should show up in its corresponding column.
My formula should read: DIVIDE COLUMN C3 BY 2 IF C3 DOES NOT INCLUDE (AR) or (TR), if not then enter the whole value from C3 into column G for AR and column H for TR. Please see attached.

No that's not working.. The two PAYMENTS on row 3 and 4 are not supposed to be included in these columns. And rows 5 is only supposed to show in G and row 6 is supposed to show in H.. i removed the Divide by 2 column. Please see attached.CREDIT CARD BILLS.xlsx

It's looking for "R)" instead of either "(AR)" or "(TR)" since both of them have "R)".

Since I removed the Divide by 2 column, the formula doesn't work. The transactions called PAYMENT - (AR) should be as they are now... in column E and the ones called PAYMENT - (TR) should be in column F. The problem is in the G and H columns.. Anything other than Payments = if they do not have an (AR) or a (TR) should be divided by 2. If they do have an (AR) or (TR) then they should go into G for (AR) and H for (TR). I highlighted in yellow how the amounts should be distributed. GAS is a transaction so if that has an (AR) the whole amount should go to column G, if it has a (TR), then it should into column H.
Also, the info highlighted just needs to be blank if there is no info on that particular row.

It took a while but I think that I finally got it.
WOWOWOW!!!! No wonder.. I would've never been able to figure that out. This formula is huge. Thank you so much.. You have no idea how much I appreciate this.
