Stop excel from scrolling to active cell

I have a very large excel sheet, and would like to stop it from automatically scrolling to the active cell whenever enter is pressed.
I still want enter to navigate to the next cell down, but not scroll to this active cell.
I tried googling this, but couldn't find anything relevant there or in the settings.
I'm using Excel 2007.

Cheers,
Tom

Re: Stop excel from scrolling to active cell

Hi, welcome to the forum

I still want enter to navigate to the next cell down, but not scroll to this active cell.
Not really sure what you mean by this? Is your "Scroll" on, do you mean that if you are on the last visible row on the sheet and you press enter, you ant the cursor to "disappear" to the row not yet shown?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Re: Stop excel from scrolling to active cell

Thanks

Sorry for the confusion. What I mean is: If I have selected a cell, and the formula involves cells which are far further down in the spreadsheet (so I have to scroll to get there), I select the relevant cells from further down, then press enter. Then, excel will automatically scroll up to the new active cell, meaning I have to scroll all the way back down for this cell's formula (as they are all using a similar formula).
Does that make sense?

Cheers,
Tom

Have you tried using the formula evaluator instead? click the cell with the formula, then click the Fx next to the formula bar
