Drop Down Menus to select 1 bit of data which then removes all irrelevant data in a table

Terrible title, sorry, I couldn't think of how to say it more efficiently. I'll be able to explain more clearly here what I have and what I want to achieve. Also, hello all btw, new user.

Okay, so in excel I have a big table of data which is UK soccer results. I have several pieces of data for each result under which the data goes, and these are:

    Date (of the fixture)
League (I have results data for various leagues)
    Home Team
    Away Team
    Home Team Goals
Away Team Goals (this and above column gives the final score!)
Full Time Result (This can either be H, D or A. H is Home Win, D is Draw, A is Away Win)
    Referee

All results (of which I have hundreds of results from many different leagues) are listed with information filled out in all of the above headings.

So what I want to do is create a table on a separate sheet, where Row 1 is listed with the above column headers as drop down menus that specify what data I want to see at any time. So for example, if I wanted to see all of Man Utd's results, I could select 'Man Utd' from the Home Team and Away Team drop down menus and have just their results listed.

Similarly, if I wanted to see results from a specific league only I could select 'English Premier League' from the League menu and have them listed. Hopefully I would also be able to select multiple requirements with this; so for example, I'd like to be able to select 'Man Utd' from the Home Team menu and also 'H' from the Full Time Result menu and that would display only games where Man Utd were at home, and also won the game.

So, essentially, I have all the data I need but want to be able to select specific results (rows of data) by certain requirements. I know how to make basic drop down menu lists; however, another issue is that I would need to avoid there being duplicates on the drop down menu options (for example, have Man Utd as an option only once, instead of lots of times. Currently I am highlighting the columns to create the lists and obviously Man Utd appear multiple times since they have played many fixtures).

Thanks in advance for any help I receive with this, will be a lifesaver!

I would have thought you could manage all of that with standard Filters (albeit one or two (for instance Man U Home or Away) may need to be done using Advanced Filters.

Theres a good tutorial here on advanced filters > http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/mic...vanced-filter/
