Display an image based on a cell's value?

    EDIT: SOLVED

    Thank You

I have two bitmap images, and I would like to show only one image at a time, based on the content of another cell's pull-down list. If the user selects "AIR", then display the AIR image. If the user selects "SERVO", then display the SERVO image.

    Is this possible?

    Excel 2000

Yess offcorce, I'll explain how to do that

    Step 1 Creare a directory
Create Album sheet consisting of two columns (name and photo) where we can have a directory with pictures. Now you have to give a name to your list, to refer to it in the future.
    1. Go to Insert - Name - Define,
    2. Enter the name (eg DynamicAlbum) and in the address field type belowstated formulae:

This relatively complex structure is needed to make the source dynamic. If u add a name in the future firmula will catch this name as well. If you know you won't have any names simply point = A1: A5 instead

Step 2 The drop-down list to select the name
Go to sheet2, rename as picker and create a cell with a drop-down list to select a name (it will be A1).
    1. Select the cell and go to (Data - Validation
    2. Then iselect list from Allow dropdown
    3. Put cursor in Sorce field and press F3
    4. Select required name (DynamicAlbum).
    5. Press OK:

    Step 3 Copy photograph
Select the cell with the first photo and hold Shift, click the Edit menu. There should now be an unseen before, Copy image command: Click on it.
Copy, ir on to Picker sheet in any blank cell, (Edit - Paste).

Step 4 Create a dynamic link to the selected photo
Now you need to make a link for points to a cell with dropdown. Open the menu Insert - Name - Define and enter the name of your link, for example, "Picture", and the formula

Please Login or Register to view this content.
Step 5.Tie the photo to link
The only thing that remains, is to assign this name to the picture in picer sheet.
Just select the picture and type in the formula bar

Please Login or Register to view this content.
    and press Enter

    READY!!!!!!!!!

I've uploaded a dummy so u can see what I'm talking about. But I think you won't be able to open it. I have to notice that I don't have xl2000 neither at home nor at work...

Thanks that works real nice. The picture on the 'picker' sheet has a grey border, and the properties are set to no border. Is there any way to remove the border?
