If value = negative number, then (formula here)

Hello everyone, kinda new to excel, and I'm not sure I'm wording my issue well enough for google..hoping you all can help.

I need a formula that will check a number. Once checked, if the number is negative, it will take that number and subtract it from another. If the number is positive, it will return that positive value.

Example...

Think Degrees on a compass. 0 is north, if I turn 90 degrees right, I'm facing east (or heading 090). If I turn left, it would be a -90 degree , or 270 (360-90=270). I need that -90 to come out to 270, and +90 to return a value of 90. Clear as mud?
