Copy absolute cell reference to another worksheet

    Hey guys.

I've made myself a template with a lot of absolute cell references.
When i want to use this template, i often need to copy this template into another worksheet, not having the same cells.

Is there anyway to copy an absolute cell reference from one worksheet, to another worksheet, so that it adjust from the first worksheet to the other, but still having the same cell references?

Or do i have to make it all relative cell references for this to be possible?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi,

You can use a trick to achieve this.
For example, original formula of template sheet is at cell A1 and you expect it shifted to C2 in new sheet.
    - Create a copy of template sheet (by right click in the sheet tab, choose Move or copy, tick Create a copy), now you do the experiment with this copied sheet.
    - Because it must be shifted from column A to column C, insert two columns at column A
    - Because it must be shifted from row 1 to ro row 2, insert one row at row 1
    - Now you have get the desired shifted formula, copy this formula to new sheet
    - Delete the copied sheet
