    American Football Standing

    Hi All,

First off let me say I have zero excel experience. I've been search the web for weeks now in hopes of finding something close to what I want to create and have had no luck at all.

These Standings would be for a Madden 15 (video game) Online Football League. What I was looking for is an American Football Standings page that populated the standings based on the data inputted by the winning player of each game in an online Form. Once the form is submitted the Standings would re-order itself to show the teams with the best record on top and the the team with the worst record on the bottom in each division. We have 2 conferences (All-Star & Elite) with 2 divisions (All-Star East, All-Star West and Elite North, Elite South) in each Conference and 4 teams in each division. I would also like the form to populate the schedule to show the score of the game and a date stamp of when that it has been played.

I guess my first question would be...is any of this at all possible? And if so...How?

Thanks in advance for the help. It would be greatly appreciated.

    Re: American Football Standing

Here's a quick and simple shell for a workbook that you could use. All you need to do is enter the team names into cells D4:D11 and K4:K11 on the Standings sheet, and update the weekly scores as seen in the Weekly Results sheet. The Win/Loss columns on the Standings sheet will update automatically, along with the conference standings and positions for each team. I input example Team Names and Week 1&2 scores to show how they should be input into the sheet.

    Hope this helps.

Awesome! I appreciate the help. I have a few questions though. How would I go about adding Offensive Touchdowns Scored, Points for, Points against, Interceptions and Sacks next to the wins and losses in each conference on the Standings sheet. Also how would I go about having an Excel Form like this one https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1u76...3ybgc/viewformpopulate both the Standings and Weekly Results page?

    Thanks again for your assistance,
    Shadez

I can't see the google docs page you linked to...maybe take a screenshot and post it? As for your first question, you can add those fields to the Weekly Results sheet, and have them autopopulate on the Standings.

It didn't upload correctly. Make sure you Go Advanced and submit that way.

    Re: American Football Standing

I've edited the workbook quite a bit to hopefully reflect what you want. The only place you'll need to change the format are the team names on the Dropdown Variables tab (which I suggest you hide after you finalize the format of the workbook) which will then autoupdate all the names within the workbook. The Weekly Results sheet columns B through E are all dropdown selections, and the rest are user inputs - copied from the image you uploaded.

    Hope this helps!
