Lock row together so that filters move whole rows not just cells.

I need to lock row together so that filters move whole rows not just cells. My top row is a series of filters the rest is just basically a form you fill out. The problem is if you filter the location alphabetically it just filters that column and does not move the whole row. Any ideas on how to fix this?

In the Filter tab, Try using the custom sort option and then filtering by location. This should move all the items together.

    Hi,

You have created individual columns as individual tables. So the filters are applied on them separately.
Convert them to single table or simple range and than apply filters and it will work.

You have 6 tables "mashed" together. These tables will act independently most of the time as tables that are not separated by at least 1 empty column or row can interfere with each other. If you want all of the rows to stay together, convert all the tables to ranges (click in each table, click on Design tab, Click on convert to Range). After all the tables have been converted to ranges, click in the data, click on the Insert tab, click on Table, table has headers.

Once completed, you can sort and filter on any of the columns and the rows will stay together.
