frequency of a set of numbers

I have a large set of data say about 300 results.
Each result set consists of 8 possible responses. Only 17 types of responses are possible. I am trying to find out how frequently each set occurs if at all.
Eg.
Responses can be the following;
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,910,11,12,13,14,15,16,17.
Each set can be ;
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8
3,4,10,11,14,15,16,17
4,5,10,11,12,15,16,17
1,4,8,11,14,15,16,17,
Etc
If no 8 response set reoccurs need to try if a 7 response set reoccurs and so on reducing until a satisfactory reoccurrence is found.
Is this even possible with excel?

how exactly is the data laid out?
Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

Remember to desensitize the data.
