Interactive Calendar / Schedule - help for beginner

    Hi All,

Hope everyone is doing well! I'm trying to create something in Excel but I am currently out of my league in Excel (but am learning slowly). I am looking to create a daily (hourly) schedule.
In my head what I envision is:

    > A monthly calendar which shows the whole month that I can shift to any month in the past or future
    > Then once I choose a certain day in that calendar, it opens (possibly on the same page or another), that daily schedule (say from 6am - 10pm).
    > Then once I choose that certain time period (say 7-8pm), it opens details about that timeslot (eg, class title, teacher, room, etc)

I've tried searching around for interactive calendars but haven't had any luck. Is this even possible?

Any help or idea on how to do this would be greatly appreciated!

    Cheers,
    Rez

I think what you are asking for goes a bit beyond the (smallish) problems that are usually raised on this site, particularly if you are using Excel 2003 as your profile states. To help you along the way, though, the following link contains a calendar (as well as links to other threads containing calendars) which will satisfy the needs of your first point. Essentially, you record dates and descriptions of events in any order in the Activities sheet, then on the Calendar sheet you can display a particular month and year using the drop-downs, and the events will appear on the appropriate day(s), with up to 10 events per day.

    Hope this helps.

    Pete

    Hi Pete,

Thanks for your reply. I just wanted to confirm whether there was a link attached as I cant find one in your reply. If you can resend the link, that'd be great in getting me started.

    Cheers,
