I imported an .xls file from the US Dept. of Agriculture. When I opened it got an error message reading "Problem obtaining data." I clicked the OK button and a new error message popped up: "No ODBC driver is installed." It gives me a "Cancel" or "Go to page..." option.
Clicking the Cancel button brings me back to the "Problem obtaining data" error message. "Go to page..." brings me to an Office support page with links to sites that have Mac-compatible drivers.
Not really interested in installing drivers at the moment. Just want to get out of the Excel spreadsheet so I can do other work there. However I'm caught in an endless loop that won't let me close the file. I've even Force Quit Excel, but upon reopening it the program is still locked on that spreadsheet. Any help in exiting from the file would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
