Ctrl + Shift + Down question

Hi, when I do CTRL + SHIFT + DOWN and CTRL + SHIFT + LEFT, excel doesn't select the correct range. I've attached a worksheet that has a problem. Basically, when i select A1 and hold down CTRL + SHIFT + DOWN and CTRL + SHIFT + LEFT, it selects A1 to D23. I just want excel to select A1 to D22. What is wrong with the worksheet that makes excel think that is has data on row 23? Can someone help me please?

Re: Ctrl + Shift + Down question

Your sample sheet does have space. You can check by using the formula =CODE(A23) in another cell.

Delete (clear contents) of Cell A23 and your Ctrl+Shift+Down will work correctly
    Life's a spreadsheet, Excel!

Re: Ctrl + Shift + Down question

Thank you very much. By any chance, anyone know how to trim trailing spaces from a worksheet using a vba?
